The Wall Between the Parties

Summary
The Eagle needs two wings to fly, both a right wing and a left wing, else it doesn't get very far. There seems to be a wall between our political parties and we do not seem to be getting very far. There seems to be a wall that cannot be breeched. Is this our own private Berlin Wall?

The Blame for the Shutdown

Summary
The Government "shuts down" now and then. Why is it that each side blames the other when neither side is blameless? Perhaps it mirrors most human relationships. After all, politics is the attempt by people getting together (government) to manage the relationships and needs of the whole. It seems to be human nature to blame somebody else when things go wrong. Anybody else will do it, lest they be blamed and punished. Pain avoidance! What do we do?

Politics is an Addiction of the Highest Order

Politics can be an addiction, even a hysteria when it is excessive. It is a real problem when lives are ruined. Politiholism and politiholics are among us and extricating ourselves from it is the goal of this blog!

Do you care too much? Is it ruining your life? There are many names for a politiholic, someone addicted to politics, a policy wonk. The problem is when we realize that we care too much and want to get a more balanced view, we find it hard to learn to get along with all our fellow humans, regardless of politics or any other divisive factor.
